 Who am I?

Hi, My name is salik khan 

I am an student and Historian with an in Ancient history and archaeology and even i have a passion for research especially in history as you would possibly expect. I even have also been tracing my genealogy and studying the parts of history that my ancestors have lived through.

What areas of history do i prefer the most?

My main period of time is that the stone age era , medieval era from the Middle Ages throughout to the first modern period. I do like other areas of history and therefore the main theme that I even have studied and have a passion for is military history which encompasses all time periods and all kings. it's from this attitude that i will be able to be writing as that's what i'm most comfortable with. i'm expanding my knowledge throughout the planet though and as I learn more i will be able to post more here.


What is the aim of this page?

The main purpose of this page is to place my research and knowledge on the web for everybody to ascertain and use. i think that everybody should have a minimum of a rudimentary knowledge of history and hope that the knowledge that I placed on this page (as well because the information I link to) will get people learning more about history and give to you want.


Will there be more?

Eventually, once I have put enough information on this website, i will be able to be creating some short eBooks on the themes that I cover here. Watch this space for more information!

In its broadest sense,history the story of people_the study of our past.Some historian look at important events,such as war,revolution, and government, while other are interested in ordinary people's lives. Henry Ford,the American car manufacturer,once said "History is bunk," but most people would disagree. Our live today are shaped by decision and action made decades,centuries, or even thousands of years ago. By understanding the past,we may be able to gain a more balanced view of the present.           THE BASIC AIMS :of history are to record and explain our past.Historian study a range of written and oral (spoken) evidence.
